This 19th century Deacon's bench has a wonderful patina and would be a soulful addition to a sitting room, entry, wide hallway, or large mudroom. A classic and timeless style, this piece has only grown more stately and beautiful with age. The natural worn is worn to perfection and the quality of this handmade piece has enabled it to stand the test of time.
Although this piece definitely has wear consistent with age (as shown in photos), it's extremely sturdy and solid. There is on back leg that doesn't reach all the way to the floor, but this doesn't affect the sturdiness at all- there's no wobbling as the other seven legs are planted firmly on the floor. There was one small break in a stretcher that has been repaired with wood glue and clamped with wire.
Dimensions: 6'L x 35"H x 21"D, seat height 18", arm height 2 feet
